  • — After I saw this video for the first time, I couldn't stop watching it. I had to solve the mystery, to figure out who is who. From there, I was able to piece together the story line and follow the villain through different disguises. Also, I love the scene of falling down through the trees: it matches the music so perfectly. Thanks for your brilliance, Stefan Nadelman!
  • Why did you choose to work with him?
  • — Stefan animated the music video for Menomena's song "Evil Bee," and I was so impressed. I consider Stefan's talent to be truly rare. He's also become a dear friend.
  • What is behind ‘I say Fever’ ?
  • — In the video, it is a perfume that disarms the sheriff. Lyrically, the idea of a "fever" to me means a combination of panic and resignation. When I have a fever, it feels terrible and I want to be released immediately, but instead I'm forced to let it run its course.
  • Who would like to collaborate with one day ?
  • — In terms of production, I'd love to collaborate with my generation's equivalent of Flood or Brian Eno — they always seem to draw the best out of an artist. I'd probably faint if I ever got to share a stage with any of my heroes: Bruno Wizard, PJ Harvey, Martin Gore, David Byrne. And although I daydream about working with artists I adore (like The National, or Bon Iver), I'm also hoping to explore working deeper with folks already around me, because maybe we can open up each other’s potential.

  • — I'm partial to Stefan's videos, and also to the videos that have been done for Menomena. So, to speak about videos in which I wasn't somehow involved :

      • — Weird Al is among my most significant musical influences (especially when I was younger), and his videos are still brilliant and hilarious. Is he well known in France?
