Through his various projects (portraits, landscapes from his native Switzerland, swimming pools, parking’s, dwellings, trees…) Giasco Bertoli studies the ordinary and the dreamlike aspects of everyday life. His work is somewhat sad yet attractive and hypnotising. His book “Tennis Courts”, published by Nieves, shows a strange graphical poetry, where the tragedy of sport seems to collide with the naked surface of its own empty shell.
