Aidan John Moffat

Within the late Scottish duo Arab Strap, Aidan John Moffat was the bitter reporter of love stories and one night stands, and has since worked on a number of solo projects. Under the pseudonym Lucky Pierre at first, and then under his own name for an album of poetry and spoken words, he has lately been accompanied by a band, adequately named “the Best Of’s”, with which he released a collection of heart breaking Scottish pop songs. The common denominator of these usually solitary escapades are his delicate but incredibly crude texts, full of sweat, sex, and bad liquor. One would expect no less from the man who launched Arab Strap’s album Philophobia with these brilliant words: “It was the biggest cock you’d ever seen but you had no idea of where that cock had been”.
