When Gruff Rhys, leader of cult welsh band Super Furry Animals meets producer Boom Bip, abstract hip-hop guru, you get Neon Neon, a band which could have been Patrick Bateman’s (American Psycho) favourite. Their album, dedicated to the creator of the DeLorean, revisits all the classics of 80’s pop music, with the two of them trying out their talents on all kinds of musical styles, from mainstream to electronic pop, from disco to crunk.
