Signed onto the Parisian label Tigersushi, this unusual quintet is led by Nicolas Ker, decadent dandy straight out of Victorian London, and Laurent Bardainne, a trashy songwriter. Cabaret meets Manchester’s new wave, such are Poni Hoax’s songs. Impeccably produced by Joakim, topped with the voice of a deranged crooner, their tracks are easily recognizable.
