Gonzales
“Gonzo” to his friends, this multi-talented genius, Canadian but living in Paris, has a résumé a mile long. Inspired producer for Feist, composer for many famous French pop artists (Jane Birkin, Katerine…), holder of the world record for the longest concert (27 hours in a row!), but also alternative rapper, mainstream pop singer, virtuoso pianist, and electronic explorer into his own music. His association with Renaud Letang is seen as one of the best producer/arranger duos of the moment, due to their unique and resolutely modern sound.
Poni Hoax
Signed onto the Parisian label Tigersushi, this unusual quintet is led by Nicolas Ker, decadent dandy straight out of Victorian London, and Laurent Bardainne, a trashy songwriter. Cabaret meets Manchester’s new wave, such are Poni Hoax’s songs. Impeccably produced by Joakim, topped with the voice of a deranged crooner, their tracks are easily recognizable.
