Palais de Tokyo

Palais de Tokyo

The Palais de Tokyo is an art center devoted to making the best of French and international contemporary art more accessible. Open from noon to midnight, housing a restaurant, a store and a bookshop, the Palais de Tokyo mixes concept art and chainsaws, zombies and minimalism, ready-made and hybrids, in order to show contemporary art in a current and uncomplicated way, more often than not, from the point of view of artists themselves. It offers residencies to young artists (Le Pavillon), sometimes offers them their first monograph (Les Modules), or entrusts the curation of exhibitions to artists (Ugo Rondinone in 2007, Jeremy Deller in the near future). Plastic, open, protean, the Palais de Tokyo also shows abroad (Les Chalets).
