The Kills
It’s the same old trick : a boy, a girl, an ambiguous relationship ; time and time again, these combos have given birth to timeless and moving songs. A drum machine, a guitar, and two voices are all the Kills need to create strong tracks, mixtures of minimal punk and electrified blues, with a discreet electronic touch. But, it is on stage that the band is at it’s best, a potent mixture of raw power and terrifying charisma.
John and Jehn
A couple on stage as well as off stage, French immigrants in London John and Jehn compose short pop pictures with stunning easy. Children of the Nouvelle Vague, they modernise the ’60 Phil Spector pop sound, adding electronic touches which harbour the vocal harmonies.
