Sébastien Tellier
The man behind “La Ritournelle” loves to renew himself, changing style for every album. On his latest opus, “Sexuality”, produced by Daft Punk member Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the hairy dandy explores the most suave electro-pop, composing what is, in his own words, the perfect love-making album. Having made an unorthodox appearance at the latest Eurovision contest, this unlikely cross between Serge Gainsbourg, Christophe, and Robert Wyatt has left to try and conquer the States. Sebastien Tellier is without doubt one of France’s most prided artists abroad.
Poney Poney
Approved by French band Justice, the Parisian trio Poney Poney (now named Jamaica) is part of those bands who have renounced their French rock origins to embrace the English language, their heads turned towards London. Their high speed tracks, halfway between new rave hymns and epileptically electronic rock, make bodies sweat in dark dusty clubs.
